Traveling is a parallel universe. We live a similar life in another dimension. It is a symbol of getting out of the comfort zone and venturing into unknown territory.

Traveling has transformed my life. It helped in mastering a few traits which are essential to survival. Trusting your instinct, taking a leap of faith, making the best use of available resourcescontinuos learning while we move towards our destination are a few examples.

Sharing my diary and learning while I was on the road, exploring myself.

Partnership, 2014

Life is better with a co-pilot. It was our first motorcycle trip, and we didn't start well. Met with a terrible accident on the first day of the trip. The motorcycle and I were severely hit and dented the spirit and confidence. Thankfully, you were unhurt. It was your decision to move forward and not to turn back. And it was the turning point. We fell at a turn, and our life took a different turn that day.

Expression of Freedom, Goa

Expression of Freedom, Goa

The boundless sea, the endless sky, No worries are lying nearby. The feeling of independence, comes with a great expense. Family, friends and social life, starts feeling like a lie. Can't leave everything behind, but I can live the moment, one at a time.

Collaboration

Collaboration

For the fishermen at the beautiful beach of Kovalam, it is their routine. They are focused on the work at hand, and least bothered about the result. All of them working in tandem. Patience, persistence, and like-minded group: eventually, we will reach our goal. Although everyone is capable of handling their problems, helping hands are always welcome. Especially when someone is going out of their way to help.

Muni ki Reti, Rishikesh

Muni ki Reti, Rishikesh

Life is unpredictable, and that is what makes it beautiful. How quickly things can change around us, and at times mesmerize us. Being present at the right place at the right time, and that is what makes us lucky. Just 30 minutes ago, it was nothing like this. Clear skies, I could see the mountains at a distance. And suddenly, the scenery transformed into this. I am standing at the bank of the Ganges near Rishikesh, soaking the tranquility around me.

When the destination is far away, and the way is treacherous. It is a perfect blend, to make my trip adventurous. Alighted on my motorcycle, one mile at a time. Confronting the unknown, with the courage, I had barely known.

The Rocky Recliner of the Valley of Flowers

Life's best decision comes when you are relaxed, and not when you are comfortable. It was a long-kept dream of mine to visit the valley of flowers. I was still in school when I first heard about it from my uncle. Little did I know that my proudest decision will come here. This was the place that inspired me to take another leap of faith: leave my full-time and comfortable job and become an entrepreneur. It has been four years now, and I am gratified with the decision.

Backpacker

Backpacker

Backpacking is a symbol and lifestyle for many out there. It is a representation of old wisdom: "There are only a few things a man really needs, and the rest is just for showing off." My days of backpacking has taught these valuable lessons. Lighter the backpack, faster we move, especially when it is an uphill climb. Backpacks are a symbol of the material things we collect. Heavier the weight, slower we move.

Music is a fascinating aspect of human creativity. Everyone around us is somehow touched by music. It works as a companion, doesn't matter if we are among loved ones or alone, happy or sad. There is music for everything. I like to travel with my guitar. Along with the backpack, the guitar adds unique value to my travel gear. It helps me to bring closer to the like-minded people. Suddenly, I become interesting.

A break worth taking, somewhere on the west coastline of India

A break worth taking, somewhere on the west coastline of India

I used to believe that the key to reaching our destination is to move continuously, without breaks. And it was the reflection of my working style. I used to work without interruptions, stretching beyond my usual hours. No breaks, no distractions. Traveling made me realize that it is essential to take a break at regular intervals. It helps in staying sharp, aware of the surroundings. I can live the moment and not mindlessly running towards my goal. I can question my process, learn, and evolve.

The breathtaking view, Pangong Tso

The breathtaking view, Pangong Tso

It was breathtaking, both literal and figurative. The beautiful Pangong Tso is located at a height of approx. 14,000 feet and we had to cross the mighty Chang La (17,500 feet) to reach here. The oxygen level is considerably thin at this height. The road to Pangong was beautiful, but difficult. We had to face a sandstorm, which quickly transformed into a snowstorm due to the sub-zero temperature. But it was all worth it when we saw the mirror of the sky on the icy water of the majestic Pangong.

I will return

I will return

I love traveling. Every day, a new thing to discover. A new mystery is waiting around the corner. Covering distance one step at a time, Living life one moment at a time.

The place I always return

The place I always return

It has been more than 7 years. There are a few moments which always stays with us. For me, it was the first time when I saw the snow-clad Himalayas. I was awestruck: white, majestic mountains with clear blue skies at the backdrop. And this feeling never gets old. Even while I am sitting in a room, in a concrete jungle. It was our first trip. And I made a promise to myself that day: I will return. And I kept my promise.

The machines

The machines

Riding in the rain is tougher than it looks. We were scared as the Himalayas in the rainy season are scary. Beautiful, but scary. Rocks falling on the road, landslides causing patches of knee-deep slush, slippery roads, the raging Alakhnanda river. But we were riding among the clouds, seasonal waterfall all around, in a lush green backdrop. The machines were trustworthy companion in the lonely stretches.

The team

The team

It was a leap of faith. Our traveling together, the motorcycle trips. One inspiration to another. We took the same journey and came out as a different person. I remodeled myself, you evolved. Our coming together was also a leap of faith. We had met a few months ago, and we gained each other's trust from the word go. We overcame a few complex and dangerous situations because we had faith in each other. We can achieve so much if we have faith. Faith in ourselves, trust in each other.

The first experience is always engraved in mind. It was our first motorcycle trip. We went for a 10-day long road trip to Himachal. We had a reality check on the very first day, as we met with an accident. Forced us to slow down, which eventually helped in taking time out & appreciating the beauty around us. It was my first time viewing a sunrise in the Himalayas. I captured this moment on the following morning.
